About Us

Parent Music Advocacy Group

PMAG is a group of parents and community members dedicated to supporting music education in East County. Our primary focus is the eleven high school music programs of the Grossmont Union High School District.

Our group is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a large volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.

Since our founding, our activities have benefitted the East County community and beyond. Each year we hold multiple events including a District Field Show, District Honor Band and Orchestra Concert, a District String Showcase, a District Spring Showcase, and PMAG Day, our premiere and special event of the school year. Through these events and other efforts, we raise funds that support music education in East County while also providing logistical and administrative support through volunteer work.
